After a trifecta of radio hits - "Adiós", "Disparo Al Corazón" and his most recent smash "La Mordidita" - global icon Ricky Martin debuts his single "Perdóname," on Friday, January 15, to radio worldwide. It's the fourth single from his fast-selling, award-winning album A QUIEN QUIERA ESCUCHAR (To Whomever Wants to Listen). Written by Ricky Martin, Yotuel Romero, Beatriz Luengo and Antonio Rayo with production by Julio Reyes Copello, this powerful ballad deals with the subject of forgiveness in an honest, direct and poetic way. Its lovely melody invites us to nostalgia and reflection. Ricky Martin described the concept behind his new single: "We are human beings and we make mistakes…and what's most important is to be able to say 'forgive me.' There are times when we get carried away by the moment, by passion and by enthusiasm, and we end up hurting someone. I'm only human and I accept that. What matters is looking that person in the eye and saying: 'I'm wrong and I am sorry. It wasn't my intention, please forgive me.'"
The music video for "Perdóname" was filmed in December in Miami, and directed by Carlos Pérez, the Creative Director of Elastic People. This video will soon premiere around the world. "Perdóname" is one of the 10 tracks that comprise Ricky Martin’s 10th studio album, titled A QUIEN QUIERA ESCUCHAR. It’s nominated for Best Latin Pop Album in The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards®. This iconic awards ceremony takes place February 15 in Los Angeles, and will be telecast live on CBS starting at 8 pm/7c. Ricky Martin has also received four nominations at the 2016 Premio Lo Nuestro, which takes place February 18 and will be broadcast live from Miami by Univision. Prior to these award ceremonies, Ricky Martin will launch the fourth leg of his acclaimed One World Tour with dates in La Romana (Altos de Chavón), Dominican Republic; three concerts at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in his native San Juan, Puerto Rico; and tour stops in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
